The person responsible for processing personal data, Bethera, Lda, is a sole proprietorship with the corporate purpose, contact details and representative.

The processing of personal data by Bethera Lda complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.

The data collected will be used for the purpose for which it was collected and for which it was authorised by the data subject. The data may also be used, with the express consent of the owners, to contact them with information related to the reason for processing the data.

When filling in forms, the communication of your personal data is optional, free and voluntary.

However, on certain forms the information marked with an * is compulsory. Failure to provide information marked as compulsory will make it impossible to analyse the information for the purposes of filling in the form and consequently impossible to provide the information or services requested, since it makes communication unfeasible.

In the provision of services and products, Bethera, lda. processes various categories of personal data, both from customers and non-customers, and classifies them as follows:

  • Civil identification data (e.g. name, gender, date of birth, signature);
  • Tax identification data (e.g. tax identification number);
  • Digital identification data (e.g. IP address, geographical coordinates);

Bethera Lda processes the personal data of any data subject for any of the following purposes:

  • Execution of contracts entered into or carrying out of pre-contractual procedures at the request of the Data Subject;

Other situations not covered by the above purposes require the consent of the holder, which must be given freely, specifically, informedly and unequivocally.

In order to fulfil its duties and provide a quality service, Bethera Lda may have to communicate your personal data to other entities, including the following categories of recipients: Tax Authority, Service providers who provide services.

When filling in and submitting forms, in addition to the information requested in the form regarding name, email contact and mobile phone, the system records IP, date, time and communication service provider, browser and equipment.

The processing of data by Bethera Lda will continue for as long as it is necessary or obligatory for the fulfilment of the purposes indicated above. Once the contractual relationship has ended, the personal data, the processing of personal data and the respective storage of data will continue for the mandatory legal periods or until the rights arising from it expire, under the terms of the law.

Under the terms of the applicable law, Customers, as data subjects, have the following rights:

Right of access: whenever you request it, you can access your personal data, obtain information related to the processing of your data and also obtain a copy of your personal data being processed.

Right to rectification: whenever you consider that your personal data is incomplete or incorrect, you can request that it be rectified or completed.

Right to erasure: without prejudice to legal and regulatory obligations that may limit the exercise of this right, you can request the erasure of your personal data when one of the following situations occurs: (i) the personal data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or processed; (ii) you withdraw the consent on which the data processing is based and there is no other legal basis for it; (iii) you object to the processing of the data and there are no overriding legitimate interests, to be assessed on a case-by-case basis, that justify the processing; (iv) the personal data has to be erased pursuant to a legal obligation to which Bethera is subject; (v) the personal data has been unlawfully processed; or (vi) the personal data has been collected in the context of offering information society services. The right to erasure shall not apply where processing is necessary (i) for the exercise of freedom of expression and information; (ii) for compliance with a legal obligation requiring processing; (iii) for reasons of public interest in the field of public health; (iv) for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes, insofar as the exercise of the right to erasure would seriously impair the achievement of the purposes of such processing; or (v) for the purposes of declaring, exercising or defending a right in legal proceedings.

Right to restriction of processing: you can request that the processing of your personal data be restricted in the following cases: (i) if you contest the accuracy of your personal data, for a period of time that allows its accuracy to be verified; (ii) if the processing is unlawful and you oppose the erasure of the data, requesting instead the limitation of its use; (iii) if Bethera no longer needs the personal data for processing purposes, but the data are necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims; or (iv) if you have objected to the processing until it is established that Bethera's legitimate interests override yours.

Right to withdraw your consent: in cases where data processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time. In this case, your personal data will no longer be processed, unless there are other grounds justifying such processing by Bethera.

Right to lodge complaints with the CNPD: you have the right to lodge complaints regarding matters related to the processing of your personal data with the National Data Protection Commission.

Authentication for database records is forced by 2FA, i.e. a second validation is required to log into an account, to ensure that the person logging in is themselves.

All passwords in the DB are encrypted using SHA256, which makes it difficult to access the real information if it is entered into the system

Authentication endpoints are protected against Brutforce attacks to prevent forced system entries.

The entire system works in an application-independent way, based on a cluster system, where 3 daily backups are made to redundant servers.
